Joe Kalmanovitz joined Versant Capital Management in 2017 and brings more than fifteen years of experience and knowledge to his role as a financial advisor. His diverse background and training enables him to provide clients with high-level experiences and outcomes through the adoption and refinement of new technology, new communications tools, and sound advice.

Working closely with clients to develop customized financial strategies that incorporate portfolio management, comprehensive financial and tax planning, retirement planning, and succession planning are a few of the areas that Joe specializes in. He advises high net worth clients and business owners/executives on all aspects of wealth management, including development and implementation of investment policies, asset allocation modeling, risk management, philanthropy, estate, education, and retirement planning. In addition to developing custom financial strategies for each client, he conducts ongoing performance review meetings with clients to review and reconfirm financial goals, and make changes and adjustments as lifestyles and economics evolve.

Before joining Versant, Joe was Director of Advisory Services and Chief Compliance Officer at Stonegate Capital Advisors, where, in addition to financial planning services, he was responsible for business development and retention, and all compliance-related activated of the firm and its clientele. Joe was also Vice-President-Financial Consultant with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., where he managed client relationships and was involved in all areas of wealth management.

Joe’s experience is complemented by his educational and professional distinctions. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 securities registrations, is a Certified Financial Planner®, a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor, a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist and holds an Arizona Life & Health Insurance license. He is a 4-time “Five Star Wealth Manager” award winner and has a BA degree in Business Economics with an Emphasis in Accounting from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Commitment to community is important to Joe. Through Phoenix Suns Charities, he is a member of SC88, a group of Valley business professionals that leverage their experience and network to raise funds for charitable organizations that assist the needs of children and families in Arizona. In addition, Joe provides pro-bono financial planning services to underserved communities.

Joe lives in Scottsdale with his wife and 3 children – a son and twin daughters. In his free time, he can be found coaching his kid’s soccer teams, golfing, watching the New England Patriots, reading, or exploring Arizona.
