Kayla Goo

Client Associate

I grew up in the small town of Kapa ‘a, Kauai, Hawaii, and moved to Arizona when I was seven. My parents relocated our family in pursuit of better jobs and economic opportunities. Their focus was a driving force behind my graduating from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in financial planning. Being on the Dean’s List and graduating with honors has been a way to honor my family and their perseverance.

I started at Versant Capital Management in the firm’s intensive intern program, where I had hands-on experience with wealth management and investment portfolio management. I must have done well because they hired me as a full-time client associate after graduation! As with anyone in my generation, I can figure out most technological problems. From programs to devices, I can figure out how most things work if you give me a day or two to analyze and troubleshoot them. This acuity, awareness, and ingenuity is helpful in assisting our wealth advisors by fact-finding, analyzing data, and tracking analytics for our clients, among other things.

I strive to be kind, reliable, and fun — someone who will be there even if the highways are completely flooded. I hope to positively impact our clients’ lives and others through Versant’s mission of empowering families through a life well-lived beyond finances.

When I’m not on the clock, you can find me at home reading fiction books or tending the garden under the watchful eye of my feline companion, Lady. On weekends, I like to spend time with friends watching the latest blockbuster films or strategizing together in a co-op board game.
