Larissa Grantham, CFP®, CDFA®
Senior Wealth Counselor
Larissa came to Versant Capital Management in 2019 from Stepp & Rothwell, Inc. in Overland Park, KS. There she was a partner and a principal financial advisor, serving the needs of high net worth clients and their entities. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ with more than 15 years of portfolio management experience, Larissa has an exceptional ability to “read the room” and develop trust with the clients she serves. She approaches wealth management much the same as a problem solver deciphers puzzles, working with people to identify what they want their lives to be like and helping them get there. She gains deep insight into her client families to understand what is truly important to them.
Larissa has a keen understanding of federal, individual and state tax laws. She considers tax implications during account rebalancing, reviews tax projections with her clients, and works closely with our client’s CPAs. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™, Larissa addresses the special financial issues of divorce with data to help achieve equitable settlements for our clients. In particular, she is adept at helping women who are looking to gain an understanding of how their finances would shape up if they were to move forward with a legal separation or divorce. She also helps them understand how divorce could impact their loved ones, especially their children.
A sense of caring was established at an early age for Larissa. She comes from a family of nine children, which developed both a nurturing and a competitive nature in her. Together with her husband and two young sons, Larissa is often found catching a Kansas City Chiefs or Royals game on TV. She is also an avid reader and has read the Harry Potter series more than twenty times, along with many other books.
Larissa is a graduate of Park University in Parkville, MO (magna cum laude) with a degree business in administration, emphasis on finance. She completed the Wharton Executive Education Program in Client Psychology to better understand the biases, behaviors, and perceptions that impact client decision-making and financial well-being.
