Sean joined Versant in 2018 and has more than twenty years of professional experience helping people create better financial lives. “I am driven to bring happiness to others,” he says, and one way he does that is by helping clients accomplish their dreams by properly managing their wealth.
Sean specializes in strategic wealth planning and in creating innovative solutions for individuals, families and small business owners. He works closely with Versant’s clients to help them develop a personal wealth management strategy, construct their investment plans, and provide detailed, ongoing guidance on how to reach their short- and long-term financial goals.
Sean is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with FINRA 7, 9, and 10, and NASAA 63 and 66 licenses. He holds the Wealth Management Foundations accreditation from the Cannon Financial Institute, and has completed the “Preparing Families to Prosper & Thrive Across Generations” study workshop presented by the Institute for Preparing Heirs. In addition, Sean is Dementia Care Certified® and can recognize the early signs of Alzheimer’s and other dementias in clients and provide specially-tailored financial advice for those facing dementia (and their families), lessening the anxiety associated with financial issues while planning for the future.
Before Versant, Sean worked as a portfolio consultant for Schwab Private Client Investment Advisory, where he provided high net worth clients with detailed analysis and strategies that fit their specific wealth management needs.
Sean has enjoyed volunteering with Special Olympics Arizona since he was a teenager. He says, “Seeing people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths, abilities, skills and success has inspired me to open my heart to a wider view of human talents and potential.”
A native of Tucson, Sean received a BA degree in general business with emphases in financial and communication from Northern Arizona University. He completed the Wharton Executive Education Program in Client Psychology to better understand the biases, behaviors, and perceptions that impact client decision-making and financial well-being. Sean is an active cyclist and trail runner who loves spending time with his son who is active in soccer, tennis, and chess.
