Aimee Williams-Ramey, J.D.
Chief Legal Officer
Aimee Williams-Ramey provides leadership across legal, regulatory, and governance matters, bringing over 25 years of institutional depth and oversight to Versant’s commitment to operating with ethical standards. She works with Versant’s leadership to help ensure that matters spanning legal and regulatory affairs, fiduciary responsibility, governance, risk management, and data privacy are integrated into the firm’s strategic planning, operational design, and client service delivery, helping the firm serve families with confidence and institutional strength.
Aimee’s experience across corporate governance, securities regulation, complex commercial matters, regulatory oversight, and human capital helps Versant anticipate issues, maintain systems, and cultivate productive relationships with regulators. She has built her career establishing governance and operational rigor in highly regulated industries, including financial services, technology, and hospitality.
Prior to joining Versant, Aimee held C-Suite roles at three publicly traded companies. As General Counsel of Sabre Corporation, a global technology leader in the travel industry, she led the legal and compliance functions, built the company’s data privacy program, and guided the business through antitrust litigation and regulatory matters in the U.S. and abroad. She later served as Chief Legal Officer and President of International Operations at Six Flags Entertainment, overseeing legal affairs, corporate governance, international business development, and investor relations. Most recently, as Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the firm’s Operating Committee and Executive Risk Committee at Texas Capital, she advised on strategic initiatives, including capital optimization, while overseeing the firm’s human resources function. Earlier in her career, she served as Regional Chief Counsel for FINRA’s West Region, supervising enforcement teams and working closely with the SEC, FBI, DOJ, and state regulators. She began her legal career in private practice with several prominent law firms and, prior to law school, worked as an auditor at Deloitte; these foundations have informed her approach to risk management and her ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they escalate.
Aimee graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and earned a Bachelor of Accountancy, also summa cum laude, from the University of Oklahoma. She also completed the FINRA Executive Leadership Development Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Based in Dallas, Aimee is deeply committed to community service. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc., where she passionately supports the organization’s mission of empowering individuals through education, training, and employment opportunities. For decades, Aimee has also been an advocate, volunteer, and supporter of animal rescue, and she is the proud mom of two beloved rescue dogs.
