Jose Perez
Client Service Associate
I joined Versant Capital Management in 2020 as a portfolio associate. In this role, I am responsible for many things, including the set-up, quality control, and maintenance of client accounts; the compilation and completion of client, custodian, and firm paperwork; the review and maintenance of client transactions and activity; and the execution of tasks such as asset transfers, report preparation and general support of portfolio and investment strategies.
Before joining Versant, I worked at Charles Schwab in Phoenix for five years, the last two as an advisor service professional. Before that, I was with the firm’s Client Banking Services division, where I guided on Schwab’s products and services.
I was born in Perez Zeledon, Costa Rica, and moved with my family to the U.S. when I was nine years old due to economic hardships in Central America following 9/11. After graduating high school in Florence, AZ, I realized that a meaningful career was far more attainable in the U.S. than in my home country. I am attending Rio Salado Community College to obtain a degree in business. I hold the FINRA Series 7 general securities representative license and the Series 63 license to transact securities business.
I am excited to be a member of Versant’s client-facing team. Que tus ganas de servir sean tantas, que lleguen a Ser-vicio! There is no literal translation for this saying, but it is the concept of ‘being of service,’ which encompasses and impacts my personal and professional life. I want to ensure that the goals set by our wealth counselors are executed in an efficient and beneficial manner for our clients, leading to trustworthy and long-lasting relationships.
As the parent of two young sons, much of my free time is spent with them, playing soccer, and being in nature on the weekends with family and friends.
