Kenneth Chavis IV is a Senior Wealth Advisor, serving as the primary advisor for client families and leading the delivery of a suite of wealth management and family office services. Kenneth implements an integrated approach centered around investment, tax, and estate planning strategies to help support a lasting financial impact for families. Kenneth leads internal client teams and collaborates with internal and external professionals to implement strategies and plays a role in mentoring staff, supporting professional development, and business growth initiatives.

Before joining Versant, Kenneth was a Senior Wealth Manager at LourdMurray, a wealth advisory team serving clients in entertainment and professional sports in Los Angeles. Prior to that, Kenneth served families as a Financial Advisor at Empirical Wealth Management, a boutique multi-family office RIA founded in the Pacific Northwest with a focus on tax-efficient wealth transfer planning. During his time at Empirical, Kenneth provided integrated advice to client families and led the delivery of a suite of family office services to affluent families, business owners, and executives.

Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Kenneth graduated summa cum laude from Hawaii Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University. Kenneth is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

Kenneth was an Advisory Board Member of the Forbes Advisor Investing and Retirement Advisory Board in 2024. He received the Young Professionals Award from the Family Wealth Alliance in 2024, and in 2023 was recognized as one of InvestmentNews’ 40 Under 40. Kenneth was named to the Investopedia 100 Top Financial Advisors in the United States in 2022 and has also been recognized by the Association of African American Financial Advisors as an Under 50 honoree in 2021 and 2020.

Kenneth is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Phoenix, a member of the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council, and an advisory member of the Association of African American Financial Advisors.

Kenneth enjoys spending time with his two young children, attending their activities, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. In his free time, he enjoys fine dining, exploring Arizona’s culture and natural beauty, and traveling.
