Nick Hayes

Client Associate

As a member of Versant’s wealth management team, I collaborate closely with our wealth managers by contributing to the financial planning process and investment portfolio development. My responsibilities include conducting fact-finding, performing data analysis, and tracking analytics to support the creation of comprehensive financial plans and client presentations.

My journey with Versant began in 2023 when I was awarded a “Versant Scholars” scholarship at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, followed by an immersive internship with Versant Capital Management. This internship provided invaluable hands-on experience, enabling a seamless transition to my current role as a full-time member of the client team.

Prior to my financial career, I proudly served as an Infantry Team Leader in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton. During my service, I demonstrated robust leadership by guiding and training my unit while ensuring adherence to mission objectives and safety protocols. Excelling in making critical decisions under pressure and fostering high morale were integral aspects of my role.

Drawing from diverse work experiences before college, including machinist assistant and telecommunications lineman, I’ve cultivated traits of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. These experiences, coupled with my military background, have instilled in me a service-oriented mindset and strong work ethic that influences my approach to helping others.

Originally from Newark, Ohio, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Financial Planning from Arizona State University. I am a candidate for the CFP designation. Outside of work, I enjoy any and all outdoor activities, including hiking, rock climbing, and fishing.
