Royce Ramey, CFA®

Co-Chief Executive Officer

As Co-CEO of Versant Capital Management, I focus on the long-term vision, strategic planning, and leadership of the organization. Additionally, I work with our advisors to provide comprehensive wealth management advice to our client families. With my expertise in investment management, portfolio construction, tax planning, wealth-transfer strategies, trust and estates, and family governance, I dig deep to help people navigate their financial lives.

With my business partner Liz Shabaker, I lead our professional teams and drive the development of talent, technology implementation, service line integration, and the professionalization of our holistic wealth management platform. Our goal is to deliver an exceptional client experience through our talented team, investment platform, technology, and breadth of services to help our clients achieve their financial goals.

Before joining Versant Capital Management and launching the Dallas office in 2023, I held the positions of Managing Director and Chief Experience Officer at Tolleson Wealth Management in Dallas. There, I served as a senior advisor, the primary contact and coordinator for all private wealth management client services. Additionally, I was actively involved in the firm’s Executive Committee, Investment Committee, Trust Committee, and various other key oversight committees.

Before my tenure at Tolleson Wealth Management, I provided family office services to ultra-high-net-worth families at GenSpring Family Offices in Phoenix. Over the years, I have shared my knowledge and insights by participating in panel discussions and delivering keynote sessions on organizational development within multi-family offices.

Academically, I graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University, where I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Science in Finance. As a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charter holder, I am a member of the CFA Institute and its Dallas-Fort Worth Society. Community service holds great importance to me, and I actively contribute my time and expertise. Currently, I serve on the Board of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, where I Chair the Investment Committee and serve on the Executive Committee and the Finance and Audit Committee. I am also a Board member for the Dallas Zoo.

On a personal note, I enjoy playing golf and tennis during my free time, traveling to new destinations with my wife, and spoiling our rescue dogs, a Belgian Malinois and a German Shepherd!
